MY FAVOURITE B CORPS

B Corps, or Benefit Corporations, are a new type of business that is changing the way we think about capitalism. These companies are committed to not only making a profit, but also making a positive impact on society and the environment. In this blog, I’ll be sharing some of my favourite B Corps and why I think they’re worth supporting.

Patagonia

Patagonia is a well-known outdoor clothing brand that is committed to sustainability. They use recycled materials in their products, have a repair program to extend the life of their gear, and donate 1% of their sales to environmental nonprofits. What I love about Patagonia is their transparency and their willingness to take a stand on important issues.

TOMS Shoes

TOMS Shoes is a company that has become famous for their “One for One” program, where they donate a pair of shoes to a child in need for every pair purchased. But they’ve also expanded their giving to include sight, water, and safe birth. What I appreciate about TOMS is their focus on using business as a force for good.

Ben & Jerry’s

Who doesn’t love ice cream? Ben & Jerry’s is not only delicious, but they’re also committed to using sustainable ingredients and practices. They’ve been a leader in the fair trade movement, and have even created a line of vegan ice cream. What I love about Ben & Jerry’s is their creativity and sense of fun.

Method Products

Method Products makes eco-friendly cleaning products that are both effective and safe. They’re committed to reducing packaging waste and using sustainable ingredients, and have even created a line of products specifically for people with allergies and sensitivities. What I like about Method is their design and their focus on making products that are good for you and the planet.

Warby Parker

Warby Parker is a company that sells stylish glasses at an affordable price. But what sets them apart is their commitment to giving back. For every pair of glasses purchased, they donate a pair to someone in need. They’ve also been vocal advocates for vision care access and have partnered with nonprofits to provide eye exams and glasses to underserved communities. What I admire about Warby Parker is their mission and their innovative business model.

These are just a few of my favourite B Corps, but there are many more out there making a difference. By supporting these companies, we can help create a more sustainable and equitable world. So the next time you’re shopping, consider looking for the B Corp logo and supporting businesses that are doing good.
